The Vikings came to York way back in 866. And they’re still here today. Well replica models of them are, over at the Jorvic Viking Centre.
Today, York contrasts the remarkable ramshackle buildings of the Shambles (some of them date back to the 14th century) with lots of modern bars, shops and restaurants. Not to mention the fastest broadband speeds in the north. A vibrant mix of then and now. These days York isn’t just a magnet for day trippers who want to experience a bit of Yorkshire heritage and hospitality. In 2018, it was named one of the best places to live by The Sunday Times – partly because of its mix of heritage and future-focused technology.
Our York office is in the heart of the city on Wellington Row. Step out of our doors and you can be out by the river within minutes. You might bump into lots of geese along the way – they’re quite friendly though (well, as long as you don’t literally bump into them).
The office has fantastic transport links with Leeds, Huddersfield and the seaside town of Scarborough being within easy reach; cities like Durham and Newcastle are also just under an hour away.
But keep checking back later – new roles are added every day.
We’re sure you’ll love life in our York office. So if you’re looking for uber-modern facilities in a city that’s steeped in history, it’s time to take a look at our current openings and make your application.
