Jack Lawrence
Senior Audit Manager - UK IWR and AII
Because Aviva is always changing, audit has to constantly adapt to stay relevant and keep adding value. I’ve audited the Finance team for the last few years and know first-hand how deeply our team cares about what the business is doing and the importance of focusing on delivering its strategy and vision. It’s my job and the job of my team to call out things that we believe can be done better, and to ensure the focus stays on our portfolio, performance and financial strength.
Aviva has been really good to my family when we needed them most. A few years ago, my son was critically ill and needed three life-saving heart operations. I’ll never forget the compassion and support that was shown to us by the business during what were the worst moments of our lives.
I have since had the opportunity to work in the part of the business that supported us so well, Health and Protection. Audit is a great way to get exposure to all the different parts of Aviva, this is the unique part of the role and there is always the opportunity to move around the function. Having benefited from the product set directly in these areas I feel uniquely positioned to audit them with a customer lense.
