Accountancy graduate pathway

It all adds up to a better future.

Find a career that brings out your spark.

Is Accountancy right for you?

It’s not just about the numbers. Join us as a graduate in Accountancy, and you’ll have a direct role to play in deciding what we do now – and where we go next. Yes, accountancy does involve looking at the figures. We’re a heavily-regulated industry after all. But it’s also about solving problems. Thinking strategically. Being a very important part of a market-leading, FTSE 100 company.

Our accountants are influential, playing a key part in the decisions we make, the policies we produce and the way we work. This is your chance to join them.

Salary: £32,500 plus exam related pay increases
Duration: Three years
Locations: Norwich or York

Applications for the Accountancy graduate pathway are now closed.

What you can expect

This three-year scheme will see you undertaking one-year placements across different finance teams, including Financial Reporting & Controls, Business Partnering, Taxation and Investments. You’ll work towards the ACA qualifications and at the end of the three years, you’ll be a fully qualified chartered accountant, with a detailed knowledge of, and broad experience in, commercial accounting.

We recognise exam success with significant increases for each subject passed, resulting in a market leading salary on qualification.

And that’s not all, because for two of the three years, you’ll also benefit from our supported central development programme, giving you everything you need to become a well-rounded professional and a future business leader.

Where you'll be based

Our Accountancy opportunities are based in our Norwich and York offices. You can find out more about each location by clicking the links below.

Wherever you’re based, the likelihood is you’ll balance time in the office with working from home. We call this Smart Working. Three days in the office and two days from home is typical, but this will vary between teams. When you join us, your leader will take time to discuss this with you, and agree what works best for you, your team and the business.

Even with our Smart Working approach, it’s important to note that you will still need to live within commuting distance of the relevant office. That way you’ll get to spend time with your team in person, as well as virtually, and get access to the right internal support networks to help you to succeed.

What you’ll need

You’ll either already have a degree (in any subject) or be on track to graduate by the end of Summer 2025. You must also be available for full-time work from September 2025.

We’re big believers that great accountants aren’t just good with numbers (although you will, of course, need a good head for figures).

Mostly, we look for people who can bring the kind of fresh perspectives and new ideas that will help us to thrive.

If you’re commercially-minded, strategic in your thinking and keen to learn, get ready for a great career that could take you as far as you want to go.

Show us your spark
