Is Technology and Change right for you?

Technology’s at the heart of everything we do at Aviva, helping us solve problems, create innovative solutions, and deliver better experiences for our customers.

If you’re curious about what technology can do and excited by the idea of driving real change, you’re in the right place. We have lots of graduate opportunities in this area, and you don’t need a technology degree or previous technology experience to join us. Just bring your passion, fresh ideas and a willingness to learn.

Salary: £34,200

Duration: Permanent role (from day one) with a c12-14 month Tech Talent programme boosted by a two-year central development programme

Locations: Bristol, London, Norwich, or York (varies by role type, see individual roles)

Different stories. One team.

Wondering what it’s really like to work here in technology? We chatted to some of our alumni and people who are living it right now.

What you can expect

You’ll be in a permanent role from day one in a business where our people and customers come first, and technology makes a real difference to people’s everyday lives. We’re not just building systems. We’re creating smarter solutions and helping shape a digitally secure future.

You’ll be part of a buzzing early careers community. In fact, over 10% of our permanent technology and change delivery colleagues are either on, or have come through, one of our Tech Talent Early Career programmes. So, you’ll be joining a growing network of people just like you – to connect with, learn from, and develop alongside, while bringing fresh thinking that helps move our business forward.

Expect real, hands-on experience from the start. You’ll apply what you’ve learned to live projects, see the impact of your work first-hand, and build your skills through doing.

We’ll give you the support, trust and opportunities to grow. You’ll be encouraged to be yourself, take ownership of your work and development, and to be the best you can be. As your confidence and experience grow, so will the opportunities and responsibilities that come your way.

During your c12-14-month Tech Talent Graduate Programme, you’ll get lots of development opportunities tailored to you and your role – giving you a solid foundation to build and succeed in your career. You’ll also work towards industry-recognised qualifications to strengthen your skills and add to your achievements.

And that’s not all. You’ll join our two-year central development programme, giving you everything you need to become a well-rounded professional.

Technology and Change Delivery specialisms

From designing digital experiences to building the technology behind them, there are lots of opportunities across our technology and change delivery teams. We’ve grouped our graduate roles into two specialisms, making it easier for you to find the one that feels right for your skills, interests, and excites you most.

And remember, you don’t need a technology degree or loads of experience to get started. If you’re applying for Software Engineering, you’ll need some coding experience but otherwise think about what you’re good at and what you enjoy most. We’ll teach you the rest.

Where you’ll be based

We have Technology and Change Delivery opportunities in our Bristol, London, Norwich and York offices. Not all roles are available in all locations. See the individual roles in the two specialisms above for details.

We believe some of the best collaboration, learning, and relationship building happens when people come together in-person. That’s why our colleagues spend around 50% or more of their working time in the office.

We call this Smart Working. For most colleagues, that means spending around three days a week in the office and the rest working from home. The exact balance varies by role and team, giving you the benefits of both in-person collaboration and the flexibility of working from home.

To make the most of your experience, you’ll need to live within a reasonable commuting distance of your contracted office.

What you’ll need

You’ll already have, or be on track to achieve, a degree in any subject by the end of summer 2027 and be ready to start your career with us full-time in September 2027.

If you’re thinking about applying for one of our Software Development roles, you’ll need some coding experience or knowledge, whether you’ve picked it up through uni, online courses or just by teaching yourself.

Across both specialisms, we’re looking for people who can explain complex things in a clear and engaging way. You’ll be a strong communicator, curious about emerging technologies, and eager to explore how they can be used to improve the experiences of our customers and colleagues.

Most of all, we’re looking for people who enjoy solving problems, helping others and making a positive difference. If you’re excited by technology, keen to learn and grow and bring an analytical mindset, you’ll fit right in.

Visa sponsorship isn’t available. To apply, you’ll need indefinite right to work in the UK. If this applies to you, we’d love to hear from you.
