We’re there for our customers in all life’s important moments. That means the big milestones not just the unexpected occurrences. So, while our insurance can help them when a water pipe bursts or their car door gets dinged, our Wealth business is about helping them plan for the future they want, like buying a house or retirement.
From ISAs to pensions, we sell our wide range of products directly to customers as well as through employers and financial advisors. And although there’s plenty of market knowledge and strategic thinking required, great relationships are what it really comes down to. So, if you’re the kind of person who’s great with people and can get to the heart of what they need, this could be the field for you.
Applications for the Wealth graduate pathway are now closed.
When we say our Wealth business is something we’re proud of, we really mean it. It’s consistently listed as a top place to work and wins industry awards year on year. It’s why we’re investing a lot into it – growing our teams as well as the technology behind them.
If you want to be part of a prestigious business that’s making a difference to millions of customers, this is the place to be. And right now, it is an incredibly exciting time to join.
You might think we’re just another boring insurance firm, but we’re not. We don’t show up for work in pressed suits and shiny shoes. At Aviva, we’re proud to be different. Proud to say that we’re a diverse mix of cultures, genders, ages, perspectives, and ideas.
Most important of all, we’re an organisation with a purpose. We want to lead the way forward in our sector, which is why we focus on being the best we can be. Every day. Together, we’re building a better tomorrow with a little help – a lot, actually – from our future leaders.
No matter who you are, where you’re from, or what your interests are, you can be sure there’s a place for you at Aviva. We’re passionate and committed, just like you are; we’re the first major insurer worldwide to target Net Zero carbon by 2040 and we’re committed to the community too – we’re aiming for £10bn UK infrastructure and real estate investment by the end of 2023.
Over the course of two years, you’ll have the chance to explore the various different aspects of our Wealth business. Here’s a quick summary of the three main areas:
Proposition Development – Here you’ll get to the heart of what our customers want and need from their products. You’ll delve into research and use market intel to make recommendations to the business and shape the products we offer.
Sales and Distribution – Here, you’ll help develop marketing and messages to win new corporate business, support the financial advisers who recommend our products, and engage directly with customers through channels like our website and mobile apps.
Investments – Here, you’ll help the team create and communicate the benefits of our investment offerings – matching customers to Aviva products and services that will help them achieve their financial goals.
In each area, you’ll have tasks to own and projects to lead, developing your experience right from the start. You’ll also be working with other teams across Aviva, enjoying the opportunity to visit sites and travel to different parts of the UK.
Our Wealth opportunities are based in our Bristol, Norwich, Sheffield and York offices. You can find out more about each of these locations by clicking the links below.
Wherever you’re based, the likelihood is you’ll balance time in the office with working from home. We call this Smart Working. Three days in the office and two days from home is typical, but this will vary between teams. When you join us, your leader will take time to discuss this with you, and agree what works best for you, your team and the business.
As we adopt this Smart Working approach, it’s important to note that you will still need to live within commuting distance of the relevant office. That way you’ll get to spend time with your team in person, as well as virtually, and get access to the right internal support networks to help you to succeed.
You’ll either already have a degree (in any subject) or be on track to graduate by the end of Summer 2024 and be available for full-time work from September 2024.
You’ll be the kind of person who can get to the heart of what someone needs and is great at building relationships. Along with a bright, analytical mind, you’ll have a sharp attention to detail. You’ll also be brilliant at communicating your ideas and convincing others to get behind them.
During the application process, we’ll want to hear about what you enjoy doing and what you are good at. And it goes without saying you’ll need to feel a connection with our values.
Sounds good? Great. Here’s what you need to do now.
If we can help to make the process smoother for you with any additional support or reasonable adjustments, please just let us know by emailing email@example.com.
